Dr. Anatu K Mahama

is a Senior Lecturer in Business Management at Anglia Ruskin University (ARU), where she teaches international business and researches inclusive organisations, gender equity, global trade and women empowerment, knowledge management, and digital empowerment . She is also a co-Academic EDI lead for ARU Peterborough. A Ghanaian-born world renowned scholar with a BA in Publishing Studies (KNUST), an MSc in Information & Knowledge Management, a Master in Intellectual Property (Africa University), and a PhD in Publishing Management (Loughborough University), she combines academic rigour with deep global perspective.

In 2020, she founded The Academic Woman, a pioneering quarterly magazine celebrating women’s stories in higher education and amplifying voices often overlooked. As Founder and Chair of the She Builds Conference, Dr Mahama leads this flagship initiative of The Academic Woman Foundation, an Africa-rooted, globally connected movement committed to advancing gender equity in critical sectors .
